Description / Overview
The purpose of the Fischer Identity Guru Certification is to provide quantifiable proof that someone has the requisite skills in the following areas:
- Industry Knowledge and Expertise
- Product Knowledge and Capabilities
- Product Infrastructure
- Solution Architecture
- Solution Implementation
- Solution Management
In order for applicants to demonstrate the above, Fischer will utilize their Fischer University platform and associated Identity Training instances, for the delivery, management and tracking of the certification tracks necessary to validate the above skills.
Certification tracks related to product specific content will be defined for each major release of the Fischer Identity product.
If non-product related certifications are updated and those updates materially change the resulting certification mechanism, those applicants will be notified that additional modules maybe required to retain that certification level.
While it is recommended that applicants utilize the existing course content available on the Fischer University platform, it is not required to attempt the certification tracks outline below.
Certification Tracks
The Fischer Identity certification tracks will be scenario based and are intended for applicants to demonstrate their understanding of Identity, Governance and Administration (IGA), the Fischer Identity Product Capabilities and Features, Solution Implementation and Best Practices and Solution Management expertise.
The scenarios used throughout the certification tracks will be as follows:
- A single high-level scenario that will be broken down into the following:
- Password Governance
- Provisioning
- Request Access
- Access Management
- HPAM
- Governance
- Administration
- Infrastructure
Certifications will be organized into the following focus areas required to scope, implement and manage solutions using the Fischer Identity product suite.
- Business Analyst / Architect
- Infrastructure / Installation
- Solution Implementation
- Solution Management
- Fischer Identity Guru
The specific details for each of the certification tracks will be outlined in the sections below.
Access and tracking of these certifications will be accomplished via the Fischer University platform. If applicants wish to take the related course content that may be required for certification prep, an On-Demand seat will be required. The cost for this access is additional and will be billed as a separate line item if necessary.
In order for an applicant to be considered for any of the defined certification tracks, they must complete the applicable competency assessments required.
These pre-requisites are outlined in the detailed sections. For reference the different competency levels are below:

Applicant Certification Process Flow
The following high-level process will be followed for all applicants that wish to be certified.
Business Analyst / Identity Architect Certification Track
This certification track will be used to demonstrate an applicant’s ability to define the following based on the scenario provided:
- Applicable discovery questionnaire to capture business objectives and requirements.
- Design a Solution Architecture to meet defined requirements. This architecture must include the applicable product capabilities and features.
- Provide a requirement specification that maps the above product capabilities and features to the business objectives required.
- Provide a use case specification that focuses on the best practices needed to meet the stated business objectives.

Certification Inputs
- Fischer will provide a scenario that outlines specific business challenges and objectives. The applicant will be expected to execute and provide the defined submission requirements.
Submission Requirements
- Applicant will need to submit a Discovery Questionnaire
- Based on the above answers to the discovery questionnaire, the applicant will need to submit design document to include:
- Overall Design
- Solution Architecture
- Features to be used to meet requirements
- Customer challenge mapping to above design / features
- Asana project and template for review.
- Output will be a word doc for review. Format will need to be drafted and provided to applicant.
- Uploaded for review via LMS module.
Completion Requirements
- Submitted design document for review
- Reviewed by Fischer SME
Achievements

Expiration
- 3 years from date of obtainment.
- Tracked within LMS and data is provided to Tableau for reporting.
Infrastructure / Installation Certification Track
This certification track will be used to demonstrate an applicant’s ability to install and configure the necessary Fischer Identity product components based on the scenario provided.
This submission must include:
- Infrastructure Architecture that includes:
- All Fischer Identity Product Components
- Scalability & Failover support
- Required Networking Components
- Design Specification for how the above components will be used and configured.

Solution Implementation Certification Track
This certification track will be used to demonstrate an applicant’s ability to implement the necessary Fischer Identity product configurations based on the prior Business Analyst / Identity Architect certification artifacts.
If the above certification has not been obtained, Fischer will provide the following:
- Completed Discovery Questionnaire
- Requirements Specification
- Use Case Specification

Certification Inputs
- Applicants will be expected to provide the submission requirements as defined via the Business Analyst / Identity Architect certification track.
- If applicant chooses to only take this certification track a pre-defined Solution Architecture document will be provided.
Submission Requirements
- Applicant will need to submit an example solution implementation for the provided requirements & use case specification documents.
- If applicant has obtained the Business Analyst / Identity Architect certification, their specific requirements & use case specification documents can be utilized.
- Output will be:
- An org export and applicable workflow files of the implemented solution.
- A solution debrief document that outlines the configurations and solution logic implemented to meet the applicable requirements and use case specifications. (Format to be provided)
- Uploaded for review via LMS module.

Solution Management Certification Track
This certification track will be used to demonstrate an applicant’s ability to manage running solution configurations based on the prior Business Analyst / Identity Architect certification artifacts.
If the above certification has not been obtained, Fischer will provide the following:
- Solution Debrief Artifacts that explain the solution capabilities that have been implemented.

- Fischer Identity will provide a pre-defined series of scenarios for the following:
- Issue Troubleshooting and Resolution
- User Management
- Solution Change Requests
Submission Requirements
- Applicant will need to submit the following for review:
- Issue Troubleshooting and Resolution
- Understanding of the Reported Issue
- Troubleshooting steps & Outcomes
- Issue Mitigation Steps to keep from re-occurring
- User Management
- Steps required to execute User Management Activities
- Solution Change Requests
- Understanding of the requested change
- Impact of the change to the overall solution implementation
- Project Plan to implement the change
- Verification of the implemented change
- Output will be both a word doc for review and a series of recordings for the above submission requirements. Format will need to be drafted and provided to applicant.
- Uploaded for review via LMS module.
- Issue Troubleshooting and Resolution

Fischer Identity Guru Certification Track
This certification track will be used to demonstrate an applicant’s understanding of the Fischer Identity product suite, ability to capture and define solution requirements, perform solution implementations, and provide solution management.

- Achievement of the following Certification Tracks:
- Business Analyst / Architect
- Infrastructure / Installation
- Solution Implementation
- Solution Management
